Okay, here's the scoop as to the purpose of this blog:
For too long, I've wanted to write a feature length screenplay. And for too long, I've procrastinated. Sure, I've read over 30 how-to books, compiled ideas, even flirted with writing 1 or 2 of them. But I've never come close to finishing one.
Here's where this blog comes in. To help motivate and force me to finish a screenplay.
120 pages. 3 acts. Beginning, middle, and end. In 21 days.
Yes, 21 days.
Why so short a time? Basically, I'm going to be following Viki King's 'How To Write A Movie In 21 Days'.
The reason for this is twofold - one, it's about throwing away fear and trepidation and just doing it. And two, I've had this book for 3 years and have only just now read it. So there.
For the next 21 days, starting Thursday, April 19, 2007, I'll be posting on here with updates on how the script is coming along. And may God help me.
